This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (Cloudflare Workers). When you visit the website, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system in order to deliver the website, protect it against attacks and keep it running reliably. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and functional website). A data processing agreement is in place with Cloudflare; for transfers to the USA, Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and standard contractual clauses apply in addition.
If you use the contact form, your name, email address and message are sent to the Web3Forms service and forwarded from there to me by email. Web3Forms is operated by Web3Creative, a company registered in Kerala, India; its servers are located in the USA. According to the provider, Web3Forms does not store form contents but only forwards them; server logs that may contain personal data are deleted roughly every two months.
I use this data solely to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (initiating or performing a contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (answering general enquiries). As the processing takes place outside the EU and there is no adequacy decision by the European Commission for India, the transfer takes place at your request in order to carry out pre-contractual measures (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR). I delete your message once your enquiry has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise.
All fonts, images, videos and scripts (including the 3D graphics on the home page) are served by this website itself. No content is loaded from Google Fonts or other third parties. The only exception is Cloudflare's analytics script, which is loaded only with your consent (section 5).
With your consent, I use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, to evaluate the use of this website statistically (audience measurement). After you consent, your browser loads a script from static.cloudflareinsights.com and sends the following to Cloudflare: the page visited, the referring page, browser, operating system and device type, the time of the visit and loading times. Your IP address is transmitted for technical reasons, but according to Cloudflare it is not stored for the analysis. No cookies are set and no user profiles are created.
Storage period: According to Cloudflare, the measurement data is stored in full for 7 days and then condensed to a sample of around 10% of the original data for longer-term storage. I can access the analyses for up to six months retrospectively. URL parameters (query strings) are not recorded.
The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Section 25(1) TDDDG. Without your consent, the script is not loaded. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future under Cookie settings. For transfers to the USA, Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR).
I store your choice (consent given or refused, and the date) in your browser's local storage (localStorage) so that you are not asked again on every visit. This storage is strictly necessary for the service you requested (Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG). It expires after 12 months, and you can delete it at any time in your browser settings.
Links to Instagram, LinkedIn or project websites lead to external providers. Data is only transferred to the respective provider once you click such a link; that provider's privacy policy then applies.
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). To exercise these rights, contact me at the email address above. You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR), for example under Cookie settings. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the data protection authority of your federal state.
